Qualities of a Good Leader3 Vision Qualities of a Good Leader

What are the best qualities of a good leader?  Why is it that some leaders are easy to follow while others are extremely difficult to understand?

There are some basic traits of a good leader.  One of those characteristics is their distinctive personality and how they share their vision with the group they lead.

Here are 3 vision qualities of a good leader to consider.

1.  A Good Leader’s Vision is Brief Enough to Be Understood

If a leader states a goal and direction for a group and it is too deep and has too many details, the game has already been lost.  The vision and goal of a leader should be so brief and direct that everyone can remember it easily.

2.  A Good Leader’s Vision is Clear Enough to Be Written Down on a Napkin

Many leader’s have a problem in writing down their vision and goals for the team they lead.  Most leader’s feel that they have their vision clear in their mind, however, this does not mean that it is clear to those they lead.  Writing a vision down makes it clear to everyone —-the leader and the team members.

3.  A Good Leader’s Vision is Specific Enough to Be Accomplished

A good leader should make the vision specific enough to be attainable.  Too often a leader’s vision and goals are too general and very vague.  A strong vision is direct, specific and attainable.

What do you think about these vision qualities of a strong leader?

What would you add to this list of three?

He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it. For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers……
